Honeymoon

We’re not departing on our honeymoon until August – leaving us plenty of time to recover after the wedding!

We have added the places we are visiting on a google map so you can easily see where they are. we hope to add photos on here too when we get back.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We are flying to Kuala Lumpur and spending a few days exploring the city and it's sights. On our list is the famous Petronas Twin Towers (pictured right: featured in the film 'Entrapment'). The city is divese with culture and we hope to soak it all up! From noodles & Nasi Goreng on street corners to plush hotels

Lankayan Island, Borneo

Next stop is the secluded and very small (around 500m) Lankayan Island in Borneo (left) just off the coast of Sandakan. This island is very quiet and the service is expected to be very personal. the island has it's own Turtle hatchery and we hope to see new born turtles hatching if we are lucky!

Whilst in Borneo, we will also seeing lots of wildlife, including orangutans & monkeys! If Leah can tear herself away from the very cute baby orangutans then during our time in Borneo we hope to add a “canopy walk” across the canopy of the rain forest to our itinerary, as well as going on night time safaris and boat trips.

Langkawi, Malaysia

Our final stop is a luxury resort in Langkawi where we will spend time relaxing on the beach and in the Spa. If JJ finds all this relaxing too much we can row along the river in a canoe, hire motorbikes and take part in some water sports. Something that we would love to do whilst here is a romantic 8-course dinner on the beach lit by 100 candles!

We are sure that this is going to be a trip of a lifetime and will provide us with lots of great memories (and photographs to bore you all with when we return!!)

Honeymoon Gift List

We have decided not to have a conventional wedding gift list as we already have a house together. However, if you would like to give us a gift we would greatly appreciate a contribution to our honeymoon, which is being organised by Audley Travel. Although we feel that they have done a great job in organising this amazing trip we have decided to run the gift list ourselves so that any contributions can be made directly to us. There are many activities we would like to add to our itinerary and any contributions will enable us to add experiences that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. More information...
